The more Google reviews you get as a business owner, the better you will feel. You should undoubtedly be proud. When someone visits your Google My Business page, you want them to shine with your positive reviews. The more reviews you get, the more trust you gain.
While it's true—you should be proud of all your positive Google reviews—but also focus on growing your business and don't be discouraged if you miss a review or two. As long as your Google listing on the My Business page clearly shows that your brand is genuine and authentic, that's fine.
Don't worry too much about negative reviews. Only for more positive reviews. If you have inauthentic comments or spam comments, Google can help you remove illegal comments. Every business will have some negative reviews; it can't all be positive, embrace negative feedback and use it to improve your businessMarke. The positive will outweigh the negative.
Your entry is invalid
If you edit your listing in accordance with the Google My Business policies, Google may update your listing. After an update is sent to your personal Google account, it goes through a verification process before it appears in search results. This may result in your listing being temporarily inactive.
In the past, Google crawled websites every hour to regularly extract reviews from them. However, they recently changed their algorithm to only visit sites on this page once a month. This results in some honest reviews not being displayed on the site. Luckily, there are steps you can take to get more reviews.
Duplicate listing
When Google sees duplicate content, it gets confused because how does it know which page has the "real" information? Duplicate content is any link with the same content in a different format. Google also does not take either of the two URLs into account when calculating its ranking. The combination of these two aspects means that your listing will rank half as high as if you had removed all duplicate or duplicate listings. Google may be stricter on local search because there is so much spam there that it could easily be a duplicate content site.
Google My Places is too new
If your business account on Google is too new, this may be the reason why you are missing reviews. While you wait for the first reviews, you can expect Google to spend more time verifying the authenticity and accuracy of Google reviews.
Don't worry, only the top five company reviews usually take the longest to publish. Typically, the first four people to write reviews for your business get the most thorough scrutiny, resulting in a delay in posting. That's a good thing though; it means Google prides itself on authentic reviews, which means customers can be confident in the authenticity of each review, which in turn gets you more customers.
Review marked as fake
One of the most common reasons Google reviews might not show up is so reviewers can flag them as "fake." When this happens, it can be difficult to spot fake reviews. The "flag" that a commenter can assign to a comment, good or bad, is what is currently displayed in the index at that point in time.
Of course, this false information never makes it into the index. Some "fake" reviews are not marked as such and do not appear in the index. The review posted above is just one of several examples of how "fake reviews" are commonly flagged, detected, and removed from the index.
Unfortunately, aggressive competitors may flag your legitimate comments as spam. However, once these have been moderated and reviewed, you shouldn't mind. It's tedious, but unfortunately, that's what gets your business out there, and it can happen anywhere.
Comments may have been flagged for other reasons
From time to time you may find that Google reviews are not showing for other reasons. This can be due to bots, fake reviews, or inauthentic reviews. Google has automated filters in place to prevent these reviews from being published. Some common issues with flagged comments are:
link in comment
As per Google policy, links in post comments and Google reviews are not allowed.
Reviews from biased sources
Google disapproves and removes comments from current or former employees. Reviews may only come from customers.
Swear words in comments
Even the most scathing comments are free of profanity, as Google's comments policy prohibits such language in business reviews.
Doubts about paid reviews
Another strict condition of Google's censorship policy is providing compensation for censorship. Google will remove any reviews it believes are paid.
Third Party Review of the Website
If you google different companies you will find that some of them have a google knowledge box with a section called "comments from the internet"This is a small section that embeds reviews and online reviews from various non-Google websites. If any of the sites in this highlighted box remove a review from your business, the Knowledge Box section will be removed from your Google Reviews list. Deleted In .
This extra space on your Google Business Profile reviews page is not solely attributable to Google. So if you run into issues and get removed, it may simply be because a non-Google site also decides to remove your Google business review. Then you want to contact this website specifically.
The user deletes their comment
Sometimes users delete their Google reviews. This is one of the main reasons Google reviews may not show up. This can be due to various factors. You may have received a negative review from this person, but the issue was resolved, so they deleted the person. You could ask them to repost the review and explain their positive experience.
Another reason could be that they might have had a positive experience leaving a review, but something changed their mind. In this case, they can decide to withdraw their positive feedback.
A third reason you might notice missing reviews is when viewing data on a Google Business Page. For some reason, the reviewer's Google profile may have been filtered or deleted. If this is the cause, unfortunately there isn't much you can do.
Google bugs and other problems
As with anything, Google users can also encounter bugs, bugs, and issues that make you ask, "Why aren't my Google reviews showing up?"
From time to time, the powerful Google machinery can go awry and an error can pop up that messes up the whole process. In other cases, significant minor issues arise that are resolved in a timely manner.
Usually, Google support comes first for any issue. Most of the time, the problem resolves itself, and very quickly. Some examples of bugs that have not been fixed as quickly in the past, however, are:
The Epidemic
This is a big problem affecting everyone in the world - yes even our precious Google - if you think about it, they have some employees who are sick or maybe they lost some employees due to the "big layoff" which means that they have fewer people fixing bigger bugs. The COVID-19 pandemic has put Google on maintenance mode. They even had to stop the Google review for about a month because they didn't have enough staff to do the monitoring and verification process.
This has since been restored, but this is only to give you an idea of what to expect at any given time. Of course, when you receive positive reviews, you want them to be published as soon as the customer clicks post, but sometimes we have to remember that Google employees are people too; with a small number of employees, they can do a lot of work one person.
Google Kansas Bug
Everyone's data gets mixed up sometimes, even on Google. Geolocation can be misinterpreted and the verification process can become irreparably more complicated. If you find that your business location on your Google business profile record is incorrect, be sure to contact Google Support to get the issue fixed right away. This will not only affect reviews, but also your Google Maps if someone tries to visit your store.
So how can you fix missing Google reviews?
If you review your listing and find that some of the previous reviews are missing, what can you do to fix the problem? Because when your potential customers do a Google search, they are more likely to interact with your business once you have done soSeveral positive Google reviews.
The first thing you can do is diagnose what is causing the problem. Some problems are easy to solve by talking to Google, but you can solve others yourself in minutes. If you can figure out the problem yourself, you can quickly figure out how to fix it.
If you wish, you can contact Google to help solve the problem. It depends on you and how familiar you are with technology-related topics.
Be sure to review all information and activity on your business profile and any business listings. All information should be correct. Correct any information that does not match your business, e.g. B. Description, location, etc.
Sometimes the information is a mess, but sometimes it turns up on Google and it's probably an outdated issue that can be fixed quickly.
You may have to water for days or weeks before you see comments. However, also keep in mind that even if customers say they left a positive review, they probably didn't take the time to do so; this happens more often than you think.
If all of the information in your Google Business profile, listings, and Google My Business pages is correct, the next step is to contact Google's support center if you have any problems.
to sum up
When customers type your business or something related to your industry into Google or a search engine to find products or services like yours, it's important that they see Google reviews. That doesn't mean, however, that you should miss out on a review or two. As long as you have some reviews that reflect your effective product or service and impeccable customer service, your business can still thrive while you take care of the missing review.
Don't focus too much on missing reviews. Your business' online reputation can be improved by trying to attract new customers and getting them to leave positive reviews.
